Parish Council Extra-ordinary Meeting

Modbury Parish Council are putting out the following statement as we believe there is some confusion as to the status of the meeting we are holding on Tuesday 27th at 11.30am. This is a Council meeting and whilst members of the public are welcome to attend as observers it is not a Public Meeting.

As with all Parish Council meetings there is a short period before the meeting itself for residents to raise any issues. This is a very limited period normally about 15 minutes with individuals having at most 3 minutes to speak.

The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the initial response and future actions of the Modbury Parish Council (MPC) to the outcome of the recent planning meeting regarding the Bloor application, as determined by South Hams District Council.

As this is an extra-ordinary meeting, the timing and location have been determined by the availability of both the venue and council members. The topic under discussion will also be included on the Council’s agenda for the following week, which is being held at 7pm in the QE11 as normal and you are welcome to attend that meeting again as observers.

If there is demand for a public meeting where there will be more opportunity for discussion, we can arrange this is the future.
